In research to our opening sequence we have taken inspiration from two films that are focused towards the genre of dance. The first film is Save the last dance two,the opening two minutes is focused towards the leading character being interviewed for a place at dance school. Whilst the interview is taking place in the foreground, in the background there are images of her dancing both ballet and hip hop. Although the style of the film is not how we would like to portray ours we found it interesting the way they put both the interview and the dance in the same shot.
The second film we found inspiration within is Step up the opening two minutes is the ideal sequence witch we have been massively inspired by. There are a series of shots taken from each side if the scale showing the privileged ballet dancers at the Starts school and the grimy urban scene.
